Pottery Barn Knock-off

As we enter in August, my thoughts this week are thinking about fall. It's one of my favorite times of the year. I'm finalizing the New Fall Scents, can't wait to introduce them to you.

This week's project has been on my to do list forever. I love Pottery Barn... so I created one of my all time favorite pieces. This 9 panel Free Standing  Mirror is on my fireplace mantel waiting for me to dress it up with some fall decor.

To recreate you own here's what you'll need:

 9-same size mirrored  frames.
1/4" plywood or mdf board ( for the backing)
jig or circular saw
duct tape
gorilla glue, or any other strong glue
paint to match frame color

Once you find the 9- mirrored frames you like, turn them over (back side) and arrange your pattern.

Using duct tape, tape down (back side)  each connecting frame to the next frame. Starting from the bottom working to the top, make sure each frame is square all the way around to the next one. Pay close attention to each corner. Now work your way up each row til you reach the top. Make a big " x " from one corner to the other . This will give it extra strength, you can't  have to much duct tape.

Carefully pick your mirrors up and place frames, right side up onto plywood board. Trace around all the frames and cut out. (This will become your back )

Paint the front & back of board  with coordinating frame color.

Take your gorilla glue and apply all over the plywood and the BACK of your mirrors. Clamp them down if you can,  if not get some heavy book and lay them on top of mirror board for at least 24 hours.

Decorate and enjoy :)
